Outsourcing and Innovation – Synonyms or Antonyms?
Marina Anshina, the director of production in the oil sector at MAYKOR, presented a report about the importance of innovation in outsourcing at the 26th meeting of the Business Club of the Association of Strategic Outsourcing (ASTRA). The event took place on October 30, 2015 in Moscow.

Participants of the meeting noted the increasing role of innovation in business and customer service outsourcing. Marina Anshina also highlighted in her speech that it is hard to implement innovations in the daily business routine, but it is a value-added business function. Innovation is not simply a process of creating know-how on the side of the service provider, but rather of continuously helping the customer develop to a new level, even without an outsourcing provider. The participants also discussed the national experience of current innovation in the Russian outsourcing sector, effective management of auxiliary business processes, risks and characteristics of outsourcing, and legal aspects of outsourcing activities, and summarized the results of the European Outsourcing Summit (IAOP) in Germany.
