GMCS automates Internal Control System in Rostelecom
Rostelecom proceeds to automation of a system of internal control (ICS) over preparation of financial reports and statements on the basis of Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley (MOSASO).

Work under the project of improvement of internal control over preparation of financial reports and statements is performed in cooperation of GMCS and PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

"The main goal of automating of the internal control system is to improve performance of control procedures and monitoring them in business processes," says Andrey Gaiduk, Deputy General Director and Financial Director of Rostelecom. This activity is carried on under the corporate management practice improvement program. 

Based on methodological approaches suggested by PricewaterhouseCoopers, GMCS' specialists ran pilot trials of the MOSASO-based model prototype, following which a decision was made on further use of this product as ICS's automation tool. 

Rostelecom's specialists together with GMCS' consultants started to introduce the automated ICS system in the Company's head office and in its 9 branches (about 70 subdivision units). Work under the project shall be completed within this year.
