GMCS – partner of JDA Supply Chain Management Forum held in Russia for the first time
GMCS became a partner of the JDA Innovative Supply Chain Management Forum held on March 3, 2012 at the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow.

The Forum was held to support the opening of the Russian Representative Office of JDA Software Group, Inc.. "With continued economic growth in the Russian market, companies across retail and manufacturing sectors in Russia are facing unprecedented supply chain challenges, Razat Gaurav, Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East, Africa, JDA Software. "With the knowledge gained from our 6,000 supply chain customers globally, combined with the local expertise of our JDA associates, we are excited to work together with our strategic alliance associates to create supply chain efficiencies in the Russian market."

In the context of the Forum program, the entire range of issues was presented on the category management, clustering, planning and optimization of the product range. Leading national and foreign companies (X5 Retail Group, Dixy, PepsiCo etc.) that offer logistics, production, transport and retail services shared their practices in building logistics chains, transportation and demand management, and discussed the most recent trends and tendencies in the market. The industry experts told about the supply chain benefits for customer, product range management, sales and operations planning, and transportation cost reduction upon the increase in delivery service efficiency.

The SCM line of business was created at GMCS in 2010 and it has been rapidly developing at present. As a JDA Partner, GMCS offers the following products: Supply Chain Planning (SCP), Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), TMS. In 2011, the GMCS specialists completed the sales and operations planning system deployment project at the Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) that became one of the largest SCM-implementations in the iron and steel industry. Thus, MMK was added to the list of the JDA solution users for metallurgical industry segment that includes nine of the thirteen global iron and steel companies in the world.
