MAYKOR discusses responsible cooperation with providers in a digital environment
Irina Semenova, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at MAYKOR, took part in a meeting of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Russian Managers Association on June 16. The meeting was dedicated to facilitating responsible cooperation between consumers and providers of goods and services in the digital environment.

The participants discussed the results of previously adopted government initiatives on personal data protection, issues of the responsibility of Internet services towards users, and the ways that “Internet laws” can be aligned with the laws of a particular country.

There was also a presentation by the Digital House Project initiated by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) of Russia. This is a communication platform for mutual cooperation between society, business and the government aimed at improving the level of Internet security for Russians. The participants believe that projects on online security practices should be integrated into the corporate social responsibility policy. This could become a source of socially-oriented investments and a way to protect business reputation. The business representatives noted that it is important that legislation on citizens' online protection does not hinder development of the digital economy in Russia. The participants suggested including users’ digital security in the list of CSR objectives, developing nationwide CSR standards in this field, and then promoting these standards globally.
