Alfa-Bank Entrusts Maintenance of Regional IT Infrastructure to MAYKOR-BTE
Alfa-Bank, one of Russia's largest private banks, chose MAYKOR-BTE as its single IT technical support provider for regional branches following a tender. The companies signed a 3-year contract in July.

"We had long been considering IT outsourcing as a tool to lower our non-core costs and had been searching for a reasonable balance between involving outside companies and preserving internal resources and key competencies. Today we think it is more profitable and convenient to hand over the IT maintenance tasks in our regional network to a single service provider. The signing of a single, comprehensive, long-term contract for common IT support tasks is the logical step towards optimizing IT support processes. When choosing the provider, we looked for the availability of the necessary resources and competencies as well as the positive experience in realizing similar projects on a national scale and our own experience in collaborating with the contractor," said Pavel Zharikov, Alfa-Bank Regional Offices Department Director upon signing the contract.

The contract calls for MAYKOR-BTE to maintain personal devices, software, network and server hardware, and office equipment. 55 bank offices and 277 bank service outlets are currently under support. In addition, the service pack includes scheduled maintenance and diagnostics, equipment installation and setup, and software upgrades. The scope of the contract covers 80 regions in Russia.

The service fulfillment time ranges between 2 and 8 hours depending on priority set by the bank for each case. High priority requests (recovery of essential systems) require an engineer to arrive on site within 2 hours regardless of the time of day and day of the week. "We are ready to fulfill all the SLA provisions thanks to our streamlined service projects management system, our stocked warehouses of spare parts in 111 cities, qualified service staff who undergo yearly certification, and our experience in managing service activities according to federal outsourcing contracts," said Maxim Nikitin, Managing Partner of MAYKOR-BTE.
