Global CIO recognized the project of MAYKOR-GMCS for Tricolor TV as the best CRM-project in 2015

Global CIO, the largest official community of the Russian CIOs, announced the winners of the competition in the field of Information Technology "Project of the Year 2015". The project MAYKOR-GMCS for the National Satellite Company (brand "Tricolor TV") won as "The best CRM-project".


The competition results were announced at the awards ceremony, which took place on January 28, 2016 in Moscow. The nominated projects were assessed directly by CIOs through the Internet voting system - a method proposed by the IT community portal. The competition committee had received more than 240 projects from Russia and CIS countries. Than 174 project had been approved for vote.


The project for Tricolor TV has been implementing within the creation of a new single BSS-solution designed to solve several important objectives: to improve the user self-service, optimize work with dealers, speed up the launch of new products and services to market, expand marketing opportunities. The responsibility of MAYKOR-GMCS has been to implement xRM-system that includes private offices of subscribers and dealers, as well as the public portal. To date, the xRM-system operates around 600 internal users and more than 15,000 external users.


"I am pleased that our project was recognized as the best in its category. The first phase result was the launch of xRM-system that included self-service processes, optimization of interaction with dealers and corporate customers. To date, work continues on the second project phase, the results of which will be automated management of service, sales and marketing. Than, we need to build a unified front-end to a third system. The ultimate goal of the project is to form powerful BSS-solution, which will be a solid foundation to conduct the development strategy of Tricolor TV in the market of digital TV," commented Roman Gotov, CIO, the National Satellite Company.


"The xRM-system implemented for Tricolor TV was developed on the platform Microsoft Dynamics CRM. We also used the other latest technology from Microsoft. I would like to thank the project team of Tricolor TV and mention that it would be difficult to reach successful results without active participation of the IT analysts, users and careful project management," added Svetlana Gudkova, director of CRM department, MAYKOR-GMCS.


MAYKOR-GMCS won the competition "Project of the Year" of Global CIO for the second time.


"The competition was held for the fourth time, and year after year the number of participants is growing. We were not sure that the direction of CRM this year would receive enough projects for serious competition. At first we made a single nomination for all business applications, but then decided to highlight CRM, because received a lot projects. Technologically interesting project Tricolor TV attracted attention (CIO have actively voted for it) and the competition in this nomination was serious. Global CIO competition was intended to be a mean to familiarize the industry with the best solutions, innovative approaches and the project Tricolor TV looked very dignified," noticed Olga Melnik, editor in chief, Global CIO.

Tricolor TV is the Russia's largest satellite TV operator performing digital broadcasting of a package of television channels in the European part of Russia, as well as in Siberia, Urals and Far East since December 2005.


According to British market research company IHS Screen Digest, Tricolor TV is the most popular Pay TV operator in Eastern Europe, ranks first in Europe for the pace of growth of subscriber base over the past four years and is one of the three world leaders, along with the Indian operators Dish TV and Sun Direct.


By the end of March 2012 the company's subscriber base exceeded 11 million households, while the number of paying subscribers of Tricolor TV was about 7.7 million. The operator’s viewership has approached 30 million people, meaning that one fifth of the country’s inhabitants watch Tricolor TV. According to the research company J'son and Partners, Tricolor TV is the leader of Russia's Pay TV market (39 per cent of subscribers) and the operator's share in the satellite segment is 86 per cent.
