GMCS has automated operations with counterparties for ROSNANO
ROSNANO has automated management processes for communications with counterparties.

The integrated solution based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server ensures effective operation with ROSNANO applicants and experts, by providing them with modern techniques for communication. The project was performed by GMCS.

ROSNANO is implementing a public policy for developing the nanotech industry, acting as a co-investor in nanotechnology-based projects with significant economic and social potential. A consolidated area for communications with applicants and experts is required for operating the mechanism for selecting investment projects launched by ROSNANO. The project implemented in the spring of 2010 was the next step of the automation of business process registration and application processing.

The project implied the automation of operation processes at three ROSNANO business units. The newly-built GMCS system unites the client’s working profiles located at the external portal with the internal information of ROSNANO systems. Today, the applicants may swiftly apply for project financing by using their personal profiles at the ROSNANO Web portal and obtaining the templates of the required documents. Meanwhile, the status of processing a submitted application may be tracked by the applicants themselves, in their personal profiles.

The implementation of this new system enabled the experts engaged by the corporation to receive a set of tools for the following: management of their working schedule, publication of research materials, getting invitations for the participation in expert review procedures from ROSNANO. In their turn, ROSNANO employees responsible for the organisation and performance of expert reviews may recruit experts by using such parameters as an expert’s occupation, qualifications, rating, availability, also using a context search for all published materials. All this, including a possibility of automatic documentation allows one to minimise the time needed to perform expert reviews.

This system will also be used by the specialists of the Department of External Communications in ROSNANO. To achieve marketing objectives, the system provides one with the opportunity to store various marketing materials, including the possibility of performing questionnaire surveys among the applicants, distributing centralised mailouts and invitations to various activities.

In addition, the system also provides specific business-processes, notification services and a specialised interface for Microsoft Outlook along with a possibility of receiving the required records.

At present, it is planned to provide significant development of the solution which is not provided for by GMCS technical support. In particular, a mobile interface for Microsoft Dynamics CRM is planned to be used.

"One of the project results was the transfer of the electronic document workflow while working with applicants and experts on the level of exchange via the information portal. This makes communications easier and more user-friendly, and, which is more important – more manageable. Microsoft Dynamics CRM ensures a centralised storage of information related both to the internal activity of the corporation, and the information received from the client’s profiles," comments Boris Kulakov, Head of IT Directorate, ROSNANO. "As a result of this implementation, we adjusted dozens of standard system elements and created a lot of new interfaces for the users' needs within a short period of time. Finally, I’d like to point out that the documentation of all developments was conducted at the highest level."

"The public companies demonstrate a heightened interest for the solutions which allow for effective communication between organisations and companies for information exchange. Our company’s best practices and expertise provide a solid foundation for solving these tasks," notes Vyacheslav Blinkov, Business-Director of GMCS.

"Today, the information exchange rate both inside a company and between an organisation and its partners and customers is one of the crucial factors of success. Microsoft solutions allow for the creation of a full-scale environmental interface for all parties and thus enhancement of general business efficiency," says Vladimir Vodyanov, Director of Microsoft Business Solutions in Russia.
