MAYKOR Joins Outsourcing Associations ASTRA and IAOP
MAYKOR, a national-scale servicer and outsourcer of IT and building utility systems, has become a member of Association of Strategic Outsourcing ASTRA and IAOP (International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.

Both in Russia and in the entire world the numbers of businesses that increase outsourcing their functions or expand their mix of services acquired from third parties is rapidly growing. In the wake of these processes, the Association of Strategic Outsourcing ASTRA continues to expand, engaging the top Russian service vendors.

The new brand MAYKOR has, in effect, become the hit of 2012 in the Russian outsourcing market. Alongside its rapid organic development, the group actively pursued the acquisition of attractive service assets, which allowed MAYKOR's outsourcing business line report 67% growth in 2012.As part of its corporate business development strategy for 2013, the group decided to join two industrial associations at once: the Russian ASTRA and the international IAOP (USA).

According to analysts, the maintenance of IT infrastructure of multi-branch companies was the most in-demand outsourced service last year. 70% of such companies were looking for a one-stop-shop service provider capable of covering all their outlets, such as MAYKOR with its unique network of 83 branches and 400 service offices effectively covering all regions of the Russian Federation.

According to Irina Semenova, MAYKOR Group Vice President, "with country-wide coverage in place, the group feels that IT outsourcing and hardware maintenance sectors have a great growth potential in the years to come. Close cooperation with IAOP and ASTRA industrial associations will give us deep insight into the trends and best practices of the outsourcing industry, both globally and domestically, so we can improve our competitive edge in the IT services sector."

"The arrival of a new ASTRA partner with strong practical expertise in IT outsourcing is going to secure the positions of our association and help its members to develop their businesses and it will also contribute to shape the Russian outsourcing industry as a whole, ultimately making the Russian economy more effective and competitive," says Sergey Makedonsky, ASTRA President.

The beginning of 2013 will bring an event of great significance both for MAYKOR and ASTRA as a whole, as parties of the Russian booth at the 16th annual IAOP Outsourcing World Summit 2013 to be held on February 18 – 20 in Phoenix, Arizona. The IAOP summit will bring together more than 700 participants from 35 counties so they can share their experiences and discuss the development paths for the global outsourcing industry.
