MAYKOR-GMCS develops an enterprise management system of DIXY

The DIXY Group of Companies, one of the leaders in food retail in Russia, has completed the next stage of development of enterprise management system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX. GMCS, a member of MAYKOR, helps the food retailers to improve procedures and maintain a high level of customer service in nearly 2,000 stores "at home" throughout Russia.

Microsoft Dynamics AX platform has been a part of enterprise management complex of DIXY since 2009. In order to optimize business processes of the multi-format retail chain, DIXY decided to migrate the unit of financial management from disparate systems into Microsoft Dynamics AX, including the automation of specialized functions. A team of the retailer in cooperation with the external experts has developed new methods of accounting. For example, the team formed ten additional tax registers in such areas as voluntary health insurance, provision for vacations, etc.

"DIXY has a powerful team of professionals consisting of specialists of functional departments and IT, who has been properly developing the system. In addition, for the implementation of individual tasks, we have been actively engaging with the external consultants, as well closely cooperating with Microsoft. Cross-functional interaction is an important tool for us to optimize costs; it enables to elaborate the systems and services without increasing costs for our own IT specialists," says Sergey Korotkov, Director of the Department of Information Technologies, DIXY.

GMCS has been involved in automation of tax accounting in Microsoft Dynamics AX using own developments of GMCS team. Specific is connected with a complex system of accounting and calculation of production costs, as well as the enormous document flow (Microsoft Dynamics AX is processing thousands of invoices and other documents daily).

"The implementation of tax accounting in a single system has improved the transparency of the tax data, reduced the time to prepare tax registers and declarations, as well reduced the time required to perform these and related operations," adds Sergey Korotkov.

"Multi-format retailer chains have more complex business processes. So, the automation must consider this specificity. We continue to cooperate with DIXY in the further development of the information system and its support for individual sites," notices Ksenia Chernikova, Business Director of GMCS.

"An integrated approach to business automation, which DIXY uses, inspires us and our customers. Thus, ERP solution, as a core of the enterprise information system, is enhanced and added with the required functionality and components at the level and the time that is necessary to a particular business," says Alena Gekler, Director of Microsoft Business Solutions in Russia.
