MAYKOR improves its position in RAEX rating of IT suppliers

MAYKOR, a leading Russian provider of IT and business processing outsourcing services, has been included in the top 10 leading IT service providers in a ranking by the RAEX rating agency.

MAYKOR showed more than 17.4% growth in revenue at the end of 2014. Positive financial results were achieved through the combination of a successful strategy of organic and inorganic growth, constant optimization of its own business processes, and an increased demand for IT outsourcing services during the economic crisis. "Today, many companies practically don't invest in IT restructuring and at the same time manufacturers’ warranties are expiring. Outsourcing helps to extend the service life of existing equipment and systems. In addition, they are looking for opportunities to obtain necessary IT services without the capital costs of building infrastructure. This increases the demand for the service model, where the outsourcer provides equipment and software for long-term lease and ensures the stability of operations over the entire service life", stated Sergey Sulgin, MAYKOR president.

Overall, analysts have estimated IT industry outcomes in 2014 as moderately optimistic. The total revenue of the companies in the ranking amounted to 404.8 billion rubles at the end of 2014, an 8% increase compared to the previous year. This number is lower than the official annual inflation rate (11.2%), but higher than the last ranking results, when a comparable increase in total revenue was zero. The market players expect future growth due to the policy of import substitution and state implementation of major projects in the field of informatization and database creation.
