MAYKOR presents an outsourcing program for Russia's single-industry cities
As part of the roundtable discussion "Social outsourcing as an instrument to increase the investment attractiveness of small towns and single-industry cities. Global experience and prospects in Russia," held on October 29, 2014, MAYKOR presented its own program.

The hosts of the summit – Russian National Association of Strategic Outsourcing (ASTRA) and Russian Managers Association – gathered representatives of small towns and single-industry cities, relevant ministries and administrations, and top managers of Russian and international companies to discuss a government program for support of small towns, and also to work out specific proposals for its implementation in 2014-2015. MAYKOR presented its initiative to create remote service centers in single-industry cities. which will make it possible to create workplaces and provide professional retraining of specialists. MAYKOR named the implementation of service model-based "smart city" and "smart housing and community amenities" technology as other prospects for social outsourcing.

According to Sergey Makedonsky, President of ASTRA, today only 3 out of more than 300 towns included in the government program have begun to implement it. This indicates there are a number of problems, first and foremost, with the search for effective instruments in the area of public-private partnership.
