MAYKOR Wins Tender for IT Infrastructure Service in Five MegaFon Branches
MegaFon Retail held a centralized tender to select service providers for technical support of its IT infrastructure. Following the results, MAYKOR took over maintenance of the client's computer equipment at offices and shops in the Volga district, the Caucasus, Siberia, and the Central and Northwestern regions.

"We held a centralized tender for MegaFon and MegaFon Retail, and we significantly reduced the number of service contracts. That allows us to build the IT infrastructure at offices and shops with company-wide common rules and standards and establish an effective communication process with outsourcers with minimum loading on the corresponding infrastructure," noted Andrey Belousov, MegaFon Retail CIO.

Following the tender results, MAYKOR became a single contact center for all IT infrastructure issues for five branches of MegaFon Retail. The outsourcer's responsibilities include servicing computer equipment and office telephone communications, configuration of users' mobile devices, connection to a local area network, troubleshooting and upgrading user equipment and systems, and diagnostics and repair of defective parts.

"For several years, MegaFon has been practicing outsourcing, and is notable for the maturity of its approaches to IT service and cooperation with service providers. That and our experience with implementing federal outsourcing contracts, including MegaFon, allowed us to migrate the distributed IT infrastructure under our care as seamlessly and unnoticeable to the client's employees as possible," noted Pavel Rastopshin, Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Operations at MAYKOR.

As a reminder, MAYKOR also provides technical support for POS equipment and payment terminals in MegaFon shops across Russia.
