New GMCS President
GMCS has announced key changes in its top management, in particular the appointment of Mikhail Romanov as a new President. 

This position was previously occupied by Sergey Soulgin who simultaneously held the office of the Compulink group of companies' Chairman of the Board.

Commenting on the appointment of a new President, Sergey Soulgin, Compulink CEO said: "The scale of business operations we have achieved, new big contracts and a highly-competitive IT market all require fresh business approaches. Mikhail Romanov has for many years worked for major Western companies and his transfer will obviously strengthen top management at GMCS. His priorities will be strengthening the positions of our dynamically-developing company in key market segments as well as strategic and operational management."

With the appointment of Mikhail Romanov, ex-president Sergey Soulgin will continue to address strategic issues facing the Compulink group of companies. These are primarily related to business development, purchase of new assets, and improving synergy within the Group.

Mikhail Romanov was born on June 5, 1973. Graduating fr om Moscow State University (majoring in sociology), he started his IT career in August 1993 as a finance consultant at Tengizchevroil, a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, Tengiz (Kazakhstan). From March 1995, he is a lead consultant at Platinum Russia.

In December 1995, he joined Global Business Solution, later renamed to SolutionBank, Inc. (Los-Angeles, California / Amsterdam, the Netherlands) wh ere he occupied the positions of project manager, operations director, vice-president and director of operations (Europe). His duties were related to promotion of the company's services in Europe, including IT-projects and company resources' management and development.

From February 2003 to April 2007, he worked at Strategix, Ltd., a division of Infrocrossing Inc, (Brea, California) occupying the position of vice-president and operations director.

Over the years, he was in charge of strategic IT issue development and managed a number of large-scale IT projects for major international clients in more than 7 different countries, including Reckitt Benckiser, Pride International, ChevronTexaco and Dole Foods.
