Portal solution for personnel issue: GMCS designed an HR portal based on Microsoft SharePoint
GMCS solution portfolio for human resources management automation has been expanded by a unique development – a personnel web portal.


The designed HR solution allows to improve efficiency of HR department operation and enables corporate culture development at minimum costs and adaptations to the client-company's needs. This is achieved thanks to convenient access to necessary information and optimization of internal corporate communications. Through their personal accounts the company's employees can receive up-to-date information on wage payments, deductions, number of personal days off, vacation days, thus allowing to cut the amount of such requests, and as a result lowering the load on the company's personnel department.


The solution is based on the Microsoft SharePoint Services 3.0 technology closely integrated with the BOSS-Kadrovik automated human resource management system. Such integration allows to significantly increase return on investments already made in the company's IT infrastructure with minimum portal deployment schedules.


The portal is an internal information resource containing corporate directories (address and phone books, organization charts), a standard personnel management documents library, an event calendar. The solution may both be deployed as an independent resource, or expand the company's existing internal corporate portal. Its flexible architecture offers extensive possibilities for solution development and allows to solve various tasks with account of the client's needs.


Based on the client's wishes the portal may be adapted to portray information with the required level of specification from almost any corporate management information systems – ERP systems, production management systems etc. To ensure convenient work in the system for the company's HR department the portal's functionality may be expanded with additional modules such as maintaining rosters and time-keeping.


GMCS plans to implement portal functionality in terms of planning and controlling task execution by employees, assessing and surveying workers, personnel document management etc.
