UNITILE moves to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
UNITILE, the leading Russian manufacturer of construction materials, will use Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to manage the company's divisions.

According to the matched objectives, GMCS, a member of the group of companies MAYKOR, will transfer the enterprise management system of the main production site of the holding – Stroyfarfor plant in the Rostov region – on the platform Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

The next step will be the automation of distribution processes based on Microsoft solutions in a single trading house of the holding Eurotile-Distribution.

"Today, when the holding UNITILE carries a large-scale investment program for the modernization of production facilities, we are expanding our requirements for enterprise management system. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 provides a rich set of features that we are interested in. For example, our system includes consolidated planning that is a difficult process that requires taking into account a wide variety of factors. The main executor of the project – GMCS, will provide all the necessary set of works for implementation of the new version of Microsoft Dynamics with maintaining and expanding the needed developments, which were made ??earlier," said Alexander Burdin, Executive Director of the holding UNITILE.

With the transition to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics Stroyfarfor plans to optimize current business processes – manufacturing, finance, budgeting, logistics and inventory accounting, MRO, transactions with customers and suppliers. Particular attention will be paid to improvement of consolidated planning and process production. As a result, the Holding UNITILE will get more precise result for the short-term and long-term planning, taking into account changes in the internal and external factors that can reduce the costs of production, increase productivity without sacrificing quality.

As part of automation of distribution processes of the single trading house Eurotile-Distribution GMCS will develop logistics module needed for planning and tracking the movement of finished goods from the warehouse to the end user. This would centralize distribution management within the unified system, and improve interaction with suppliers and customers, including reduction of the time required to process the necessary documents.

"The project is very interesting for us for several reasons. First of all, the customer's system differs with the great functional coverage – finance, accounting, IFRS, production, logistics, consolidated planning, MRO, distribution, interaction with suppliers. There are few implementations of this level in Russia. We have to move this function volume to the new version of the platform by implementing all the new possibilities offered by the standard version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, including additional benefits for manufacturing companies. We will use our existing multi-industrial experience and knowledge of the business processes of large industrial holdings to ensure the implementation of the project in optimal time and with a high level of quality," emphasized Catherine Voropaeva, President of GMCS.

"The high rates of business growth today require dynamic solutions – flexible, scalable, growing with your business – such as Microsoft Dynamics, which meet the needs of organizations and allow them to act quickly in order to maintain leading positions. We are glad that the largest Russian producer of construction materials – the Holding UNITILE has chosen the Microsoft platform for business development," added Alena Gekler, Director of Microsoft Business Solutions in Russia.

UNITILE is the largest holding in the ceramic industry in Russia, a leading manufacturer of ceramic and porcelain tiles.
